As part of their orientation programme this year’s intake of MBA students took part in an “Amazing Race” team-building experience through the streets of Johannesburg. As they were ferried around the inner-city in 10-seater taxis, students experienced the hustle and bustle of the City as they gained a deeper understanding of its many landmarks.
Highlights of the tour included stops at the HUB – which is a space in the Fashion District for entrepreneurs to "inspire, support, incubate, learn and collaborate with each other" – where each group had the opportunity to listen to two entrepreneurial pitches and support the one they believed had a greater chance of success; and two charitable stops where a donation was made to Lephang clinic and time was spent playing with the children in their care.
