The GIBS MBA Experience

Getting accepted onto the GIBS MBA programme is the first step in a journey which spans two years, has highs and lows, and tests the mettle of the most resilient of students. We would like to share some insights into the GIBS MBA experience through interviews with faculty, students and others, through video, photographs and more.

April 2011
Although the country almost ground to a standstill with all the holidays over this period, work went on regardless for our MBA’s. Assignments to complete and hand in, and naturally all the pre-course reading for the next two modules. We chatted with a few of them to get a sense of what they were feeling about the MBA so far.

MARCH 2011

We’re a few months into the MBA now, and just when the students thought they’d gotten over the initial shock and pace of work required from them…along came the Analytical Tools and Techniques  module (Stats in more familiar terms) which saw some working through the night, and consuming vast quantities of caffeine. This module was balanced out by the Marketing course, and we caught up with senior lecturer Michael Goldman who shared his insights onto what he’s teaching, as well as some students who gave us their take on stats.
